At yYoung, we profess certain core beliefs. Chief amongst these beliefs is a safe, inclusive, and judgement-free environment at our pharmacies. We understand that those affected with addiction encounter numerous barriers. Our experienced pharmacists work closely with our patients, their family, doctors and nurses because we realize that a health management plan can look different for each individual. Given the complexity of care required, our team of professionals maintain a compassionate based service model to ensure you receive a multi-disciplinary support network.
For your convenience, our Olympic Village pharmacy is open 7 days week (including holidays) to provide daily witness medications, such as Methadose or Suboxone for Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT). Our Oakridge pharmacy is open 6 days a week and can provide a “carry” for the 7th day, which allows the patient to take their final weekly dose at home (with permission from their prescriber).
We offer free witnessed delivery for patients with exceptional circumstances who are unable to come to the pharmacy due to mobility issues for their OAT medications (which requires prior approval from their prescriber).
yYoung strongly believes in the importance of having accessible Naloxone kits to help save lives from opioid overdose. Our pharmacists can provide training to you and your family on how to use a Naloxone kit to keep you and your loved ones safe. Contact us and speak to one of our staff to see how you can get a free naloxone kit and training. You can also visit https://towardtheheart.com/naloxone to find out more about the Take Home Naloxone program.
